Pest Control Huntly

Professional Pest Services in Huntly from Go Pest

Go Pest Bendigo provide professional pest control services throughout Central Victoria to homeowners and businesses.

We are fully licensed and insured to provide a full range of pest control and termite services in Huntly, including:

Our general pest treatment is a simple, cost-efficient way to keep most unwanted pests out of the home. Often called a “spider spray”, having your home treated once a year will keep the most common crawling insects outdoors where they belong.

With termites capable of causing significant damage to a home in just a few months, having an annual termite inspection is a must for any homeowner. Many of our customers have their house sprayed for spiders at the same time as their termite inspection, which is the most cost-effective way of doing things.

For commercial customers, Go Pest create tailored service plans to suit the needs of the individual business. We are always up to date with the latest regulatory requirements, meaning business owners can rely on us to provide all the necessary documentation they need to be compliant.

Termite Inspections, Termite Treatments and Termite Protection in Huntly

Despite receiving only a moderate amount of rain over the course of a year, there is plenty of moisture in the soil to keep termites happy. They thrive in moist, warm conditions and are quick to seek out new sources of food (wood).

Termites are busy all year round, which is why it is important to have a professional termite inspection every year. During the inspection, our professional termite inspectors will spend time examining your property to determine whether termites have gained access, which is usually via hidden places such as in the sub-floor. Our inspectors will provide a detailed report, not only recording what they find but also giving recommendations for ways to make the home more secure against termites.

The best way to protect a property is to have a termite protection system installed. This means having the soil around your home treated with a liquid termiticide or having baits placed in secure stations in the soil – both excellent and effective options.

For anyone building a home or doing significant renovations, having suitable termite protection measures in place is a requirement of the Australian building regulations. We are always happy to give advice on this, so please give us a call.

Key Pests in Huntly

Termites pose the greatest risk to properties in Huntly but there are some other pests that we commonly deal with.

For homeowners living near Gold Leaf Reservoir and along Back Creek, mosquitoes can be a problem during the summer and early autumn.

Wasps, particularly black and yellow striped European wasps, are a nuisance and a health hazard. Their aggressive behaviour makes them one pest that customers should never attempt to tackle with a DIY approach. Our team at Go Pest are experts in wasp removal and have the necessary safety equipment and specially developed products to eliminate nests quickly and safely.

Rats and mice are always a concern in rural areas due to their detrimental impact on crops. During autumn and winter they shelter indoors and populations can quickly get out of hand. Our expertise in rodent baiting allows us to deliver fast results, whether it’s for a residential property or larger scale commercial building.

About Huntly

Huntly is a small township north east of Bendigo, located along the Midland Highway. During the 1850s when European settlers arrived it was an area used for grazing sheep and cattle, and growing vegetables to support those working in the gold fields in nearby Bendigo. By the 1920s it became known for its tomatoes, and several decades later for poultry and egg supply.

Being just 12 km from Bendigo means residents of Huntly can access the facilities of the city while still enjoying a quiet rural lifestyle. Subsidised housing estates made Huntly an attractive prospect to skilled workers in 2012, which has seen the population grow over the last decade or more. The Huntly Hotel (pictured above) is a popular watering hole for locals and those passing through.
